Sunday School Calendar and Events

SUNDAY SCHOOL DATES 2011—2012

These are the dates when Sunday School is in session this year. Once a month the children will be brought over to the church at 11am to join the main congregation for communion in place of their usual Children’s Chapel. They will remain as a group in the front pews and should be collected from there after church.

ELEWANA EDUCATION PROGRAM TO SPONSOR BRIAN ONGESA: Last year, the children put money in the Sunday School Collection Plate to go towards sponsoring a child through The Elewana Education Program.We have now heard from Brian Ongesa and will continue to forge a relationship with him over the coming months. Please try to help your children become part of this outreach by letting them put a few cents or a dollar into the collection basket each time they come to Sunday School.

August 21	First Day of Sunday School
August 28	Rally Day- Sunday School as usual, followed by a picnic celebration. Hot dogs and burgers provided, please bring a dessert or side dish to share. Jupiter Jump for the children.
September 4	No Sunday School due to Labor Day Weekend. Children welcome in church.
September 11	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
September 18	Children start in class at 10:15AM then come to church for Communion.
September 25	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
October 2	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
October 9	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
October 16	Children start in class at 10:15AM then come to church for Communion.
October 23	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
October 30	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
November 6	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM All Saints Celebration. Children’s Choir (TBC)
November 13	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM Children’s Choir (TBC)
November 20	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM Children's Choir (TBC)
November 27	Family Worship – children will take on the service roles in church. Children’s Choir may perform.
December 4	Saint Nicholas might visit with Sunday School starting at 10AM Children’s Choir at 2PM (TBC)
December 11	Sunday School starts at 10:15AM. Children’s Choir (TBC)
December 18	Lessons and Carols; children are welcome to attend this special service or Sunday School. Children’s choir usually performs at the beginning.
December 24	All children are invited to participate in our nativity pageant during the 4:30PM Christmas Eve worship. Children’s Choir Perform.
December 25	No Sunday School
January 1	No Sunday School
January 8	Sunday School resumes after Christmas Break
January 15	Children start in class at 10:15AM then come to church for Communion.
January 22	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
January 29	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
February 5	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
February 12	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
February 19	Children start in class at 10:15AM then come to church for Communion.
February 26	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
March 4	Family Worship – children are welcomed to serve in church.
March 11	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
March 18	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
March 25	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
April 1	Palm Sunday- No Sunday School. Children welcomed in church
April 8	Easter Sunday. No Sunday School. Easter Egg Hunt after the 10:30AM Worship
April 15	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
April 22	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
April 29	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
May 6	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM. Mother’s Day celebration in church
May 13	Sunday School starts with Group Time at 10:15AM
May 20	Children start in class then come to church to take communion. Last Day of Sunday School followed by End of Year Celebration
