Meet Brian Ongesa, our sponsor child through the Elewana Education Program in Kenya.

In the 2010-11 Sunday School year, the children's collection plate was gathered to raise enough money to sponsor a child through the Elewana Education Program in Kenya. Saint Matthews has strong ties with Fr. Zach Drennan who is the Episcopal Missionary there, and we hope to grow our relationship in the coming year.

In July 2011, we received a letter informing us that we were sponsoring Brian Ongesa. His photo and original letter are on this page.

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL INTRODUCTION BOOK FOR BRIAN - FAMILY WORKSHEET PAGES

In reply to Brian's letter, I am asking each Sunday School child to introduce themselves and their family to Brian on a worksheet page. We will then bind these together to send to Brian.

Click here for the MS Word version of the worksheet. We ask that you download a photo of your child or your family, preferably doing something at church, and print it off on the form. This will help to keep down the weight of the book.

Encourage your child to either dictate to you their responses, or if they can write, to write to Brian themselves.

Please return the completed pages to church by Sunday September 17th.
