How To Find Us

Saint Matthews Episcopal Church is on the corner of Bridge and Norwood Roads in the South Hills section of Charleston, West Virginia.

The church offices are in the lower level of Mathes Hall, the large gray building across Norwood Road behind the sanctuary. You can access the church offices through the front door (turn right at the bottom of the stairs; the offices are at the end of the hallway beyond the Sunday School classrooms) or via a handicap-accessible ramp at the far left end of Mathes Hall.

From downtown Charleston or the East End: Cross the Kanawha River on the South Side Bridge, then bear right up Bridge Road. Follow Bridge Road past the Shops on Bridge Road until you come to Saint Matthews on your left just before the Exxon Station at Norwood Road.

From Williamson, Logan and Boone County and other locations south on Route 119/Corridor G: After you pass a large Walmart/Southridge Center shopping complex, go another four miles. Turn right at the stoplight on Oakwood Road. Follow Oakwood Road (be sure to take a sharp left turn after Smith Road) until it merges into Bridge Road. Turn left at Bridge Road. Saint Matthews is immediately past an Exxon Station on your right. NOTE: If you pass George Washington High School, you missed the sharp left turn that continues as Oakwood Road.

From Interstate 64: Take the Oakwood Road exit and turn south onto Corridor G (also known as Route 119). Turn left at the stoplight onto Oakwood Road. Follow Oakwood Road (be sure to take the sharp left turn after Smith Road) until it merges into Bridge Road. Turn left at Bridge Road. Saint Matthews is immediately past an Exxon Station on your right. NOTE: If you pass George Washington High School, you missed the sharp left turn that continues as Oakwood Road.
